BIO
Not many artists can claim to be discovered in February, first radio performance in April, performing on live TV with their own band in June, traveling to Los Angeles for meetings in July, Opening for the legendary B.B. King in early September and later that same month performing a pre-game concert at Turner Field before the Atlanta Braves game to an estimated crowd of 30,000 and chosen as Macys Rising Star 2009 in October! Stephen was a featured performer along with Mandisa and Josh Turner at the 62nd Lighting of Macys Great Tree televised nationally on Thanksgiving. He was also the headlining act for Duluth's "First Annual New Year's Eve Extravaganxa", and was a featured performer for Cobb County's "Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration" in January 2010. Stephen Norwood is such a remarkable young talent all this success in such a short time comes as no surprise.
Stephen is a rising R&B artist who has quickly become a popular entertainer in the Atlanta music scene. He can be found belting out his rendition of John Legend's song "Ordinary People" at venues that have a knack for discovering great talent such as the legendary Café 290, Apache Café and Smiths Olde Bar just to name a few. (Look for original songs coming soon!) Although only 19 years old, his resume, phenomenal voice, and stage presence are mature well beyond his years. A family friend recognized the extraordinary talent Stephen possessed and introduced him to his manager, Jayne Madigan of JEM Entertainment in February of 2009. Within a week, she had booked his first show and he was off on the fast track to fame. Stephen has packed a lot of experience into his short professional history.
